Great — here’s a tailored job description for a Mechanical / Manufacturing-focused Diploma Engineering Trainee (including power press work): Job Title: Diploma Engineering Trainee – Mechanical / Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking a Diploma Engineering Trainee in Mechanical / Manufacturing to join our production team. This role is ideal for fresh diploma holders who are interested in hands-on work, machine operations, and manufacturing processes. The trainee will gain practical exposure to shop floor operations, including working with power press machines. Key Responsibilities: Assist in daily production and manufacturing activities Operate and monitor machines such as power press, welding, CNC machines Support tool setup, material handling, and inspection processes Ensure proper machine operation as per safety and quality standards Perform basic maintenance and report any machine issues Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the shop floor Maintain production records and documentation Work closely with supervisors and senior engineers Requirements: Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and workshop practices Ability to operate or learn to operate a power press machine, CNC machine, welding machine Willingness to work on the shop floor and in shifts  Understanding of safety practices in industrial environments Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with workshop machines during training/ITI exposure Basic knowledge of tools, dies, and measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and discipline Team player with a proactive attitude Benefits: Practical, hands-on training in manufacturing operations Opportunity to work with industrial machinery Career growth opportunities based on performance Supportive learning environment
